What a Year! Farewell address from 2019/20 President Adam Ruse.

As the end of the academic year brings about the end of my time studying maths at Derby I would like to thank the excellent work done by the committee members Natalie Bayfield, Tim Green and Zac Maskill-Watts for helping get the society off the ground and build foundations for something that I know will really prosper in the years to come. They have all worked really hard to organise and plan out the future of the society.

I would also like to thank everyone who has been a part of the society and engaged with things such as the quiz at the Bless, as well as the creation of videos and blogs for the fantastic website. It really pleases me to see people brought together by the society with members from across the years in maths as well as from other courses. To cap it all we were nominated for best new Society in the Union's Community Awards this year.

I am very excited for everyone involved for what is yet to come with the society and am delighted to hand over the role as President to Natalie Bayfield to continue the brilliant work that she and the committee have done so far.
